Today we had a mid way crit with four other students in the group. After presenting my work, the following issues were raised and what action I will undertake to resolve them:
Q: Will the band need to be attached to the poster in order to hold it together?
A: More than likely, the original idea was to have just a loose band, as an additional design feature so that the whole thing was held together using a form of transparent polythene, similar to a lot of mail deliveries. However this would mean two stocks in use and this is not allowed, so I plan to hold the mail shot together with the band and a sticker holding it in place; possible with the Royal Fail logo on instead of the envelope.
Q: Will the Royal Mail post it, with a slight insult to them on the front of the envelope?
A: It would be ironic if they didn't, I personally think it's worth a try just to find out, I plan to post it by an independent delivery company as well, just in case
Q: Is there too much text?
A: Yes, I think there is, but I also feel the quantity of lines and the arrangement is just about right; just some of the points need to be more concise.
After taking these on board, I will now undertake the possible resolutions and bring the mail shot to a conclusion.
