OUPD201 - Group Tutorial Prep.

What is industrial experience?

- live briefs, having to take into consideration real time constraints. real budgets and real requests/restrictions.

Digitally printed. Hand bound tattoo portfolio. Client was a close friend. Ridiculous timescale...

- being part of a already functioning design team and having to balance your presence within it,
compared to being part of a group of people you have known and worked with at uni for three years.

One of the work areas at ILoveDust...

- working in an environment where powerful people already successfully work, so will need to develop an industrial rapport with them.

- working under direct instructions given from an individual, as opposed to creating your own (often fictitious) briefs.

- seeing or being part of the entire design process, from clients to ideas, from development to resolution and through to professional print.
